On this day, a deep breath issued forth from the depths of the Essence of Hashem and entered the body of man. On this same day, man issues forth a deep breath and blows the Shofar in order to hear the sound of his soul reverberate.
The ram's horn of the Shofar is a reminder of the Sacrifice of Yitzchak. When we blow the shofar, Hashem considers each of us as if we have literally sacrificed ourselves and therefore erases all our wrongdoings.
There is no king without a people. The King wants us.
A series of pipes connect the Jewish people to the Creator, constantly drawing down G-dly life- force into our world. By doing Teshuva, a huge down flow of blessings gushes forth, sealing any holes in the channels.
This is the first day in which man with a Divine Soul stepped on this world.
The king we are accepting this year is unlike any other: Not only does He decide whether we flourish or weaken, but since He is our Father and there is a piece of Him inside us, we also have the power to influence any decision He may make.
